How to download Agent17 safely

Follow the official itch.io button on this page. Confirm you are 18 or older when itch.io shows its content gate.

Read the filename and version
Choose the PC, Android or Mac row labeled v0.26.10. Stop if a mirror claims v0.27 is already public.

Back up first when updating
Copy your current saves before replacing or reinstalling anything. Keep the old build until the new one opens your save.

The official rows are about 2.6 GB. A much smaller executable or APK from an unrelated site is not the same package.

Update without losing save data
Make a dated copy of every save location you can find before opening a new build. Install or extract the update separately, start it once, then test a copied save rather than deleting the old game immediately.
Agent17 is built with Ren’Py. Desktop saves can exist both beside the game and in Ren’Py’s user data directory. Android storage access changes between OS versions, so export or copy saves before uninstalling the app.
- Keep the previous v0.26.x folder until the update loads correctly.
- Never overwrite your only backup with a save created by a newer build.
- If a route was reset by an update, confirm the version notes before assuming the save is corrupt.
- Do not use a third-party “100% save” as your only recovery plan.

Android will not install
Check free storage, download completion, existing app signatures and per-app install permission.
Save is missing
Check both the local game folder and the platform Ren’Py save directory before restoring a backup.
